A little piece of santa

As soon as we got off the bus I knew it wasn’t going to be the most pleasant experience. The kids stared past the fence only a few seemed glad that we were there, most just little kids. The older kids were not so pleasant they had anger in their eyes.
We got off the bus and unloaded the stuff. When we were walking by the kids stared at us. There were a group of kids playing soccer over to the side. The field they were playing on was mostly dirt it almost no grass anywhere near it. The goal posts were just metal poles and no nets. To the other side there were kids playing basketball. The backboard was kind of damaged and there was no net.
We got into the classroom to separate the stuff.
“The kids don’t look very friendly,” I said to Wensley.
“I know,”
After the stuff was separated Wensley, Mehr, and I were assigned to a 6th grade class. We walked in and the class seemed in total chaos, people were fighting and arguing all over the place. Considering Wensley and I could both not read the names on the list we nominated Mehr. As Mehr read the names Wensley and I handed out the gifts to the ungrateful kids. Only about three people said thank you.
“Don’t you feel like Santa?” I asked Wensley.
“Yea, I do,”
I really do feel like I’m Santa (If you noticed that almost no one ever thanks Santa) I don’t think it really matters because its not what people think of you its what you think of you (so they say).

  1. That may have happened to you. To me they seemed shy, guarded. My class was not chaos, they thanked you after the gifts. maybe its cuz your class was older and they were kinda rebelling. lol
nice to see your side of the story.
